KB Article 7: Entity value captured wrong


Description: This article provides steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue when an entity used in a bot captures wrong data.

Debugging steps:


  • Open conversation studio

  • Get to the node which captures the entity

  • Test the bot

  • Enter the input as expected

  • A LOG icon will appear next to the random thing you typed

  • Click on that icon

  • You can see the captured entities in the detected entities section.

  • You can reconfirm the detailed information in the entities row.

  • If the entity value is wrong, click on the connection where bot breaks

  • Click on bot response

  • Entities will be displayed, select the edit option right next to the particular entity.

  • Select the dictionary tab and update the value and save

  • Train the bot

  • Test the bot and confirm
